How can you process more mail?
The internal dynamics of the machine perform optimally in the current size configuration. When you get away from a batch processing methodology to a flow-through tunnel approach for example, it becomes necessary to employ higher energy levels and greater power requirements, which increase safety concerns for the end user. The MailDefender system is designed to scale to meet your mail capacity needs through its modular configuration.

How do you know if there is something harmfull in your mail?
Due to the limits of present detection technologies, the chance of false positives and negatives have not allowed a reliable enough method of detection for us to incorporate into our system. We feel the safest philosophy is to just kill everything. Physical evidence will remain for investigation by the proper authorities.

Is anthrax still a concern?
It's true that there has not been an anthrax attack publicly reported for some time, However, the threat of bioterrorism has presented itself through the mail on a regular basis since October of 2001. Also, there are many other harmful substances that have the potential to cause mass disruption, some of which have been in the news much more recently. National Security Experts believe that the proliferation of weapons grade anthrax from the former Soviet Union to rogue states such as Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and several other potentially dangerous factions may have occurred during and after the breakup of the former Soviet Union. There are still many reasons for concern.
